I think you will find that the kerry dems know that your wife is getting disgusted with this never ending bashing. Kerry is poised to be a moderate. There was an op ed piece in todays NYTimes that speaks to a democratic completion of bushes noble war effort. We will see if kerry can actually pull this off. Right now we have the 50-50 thing going with the economy working for bush and iraq providing an opening for kerry and the WOT with a smaller edge for bush than existed before the 9/11 commish. mike

OBL and the terrorists are on top of that list. The overwhelming majority of us here love our country. The thing that we must not do is to make the other 50% an enemy. Contrary to what it seems, on both sides of the political spectrum, we in this country all share the same basic values. The only question is how we best advance those values. It is an honest difference. Our enenies would love to have us fight each other. I would bet that our enemies (the ones that have some degree of intelligence) would love to get rid of our press corp, our intellectual community, the people that seem to be soft on our enemies. They know that these people are the most dangerous to their set of values. But, bottom line, we should not fight each other.
