Iranian Diplomat Shot Dead in Baghdad, Al-Jazeera Reports
April 15 (Bloomberg) -- An Iranian diplomat was shot dead in Baghdad by unknown militants in a drive-by shooting today, Al- Jazeera reported, citing reporters in the city.

The diplomat, a first secretary, who was in his car at the time of the attack, was shot in the vicinity of Iraq's old ministry of information, Al-Jazeera reported.

Iran, which borders Iraq, yesterday sent a delegation to Baghdad to try and negotiate a truce between U.S. forces and Shiite Muslim insurgents
