However, fighting terrorism requires knowing which targets to hit.

Clinton severely cut intelligence as part of his bogus “peace dividend.” Kerry wanted to cut $80 Billion more. Gorelick helped forbade intelligence sharing, structurally hampering America’s ability to know which targets to hit. Despite this, Bush hit actually terrorists, unlike Clinton’s demolition of an aspirin factory.

Terrorists WEREN'T in Iraq.

Firstly, terrorists were indeed in Iraq. You simply don’t wish to acknowledge the fact because it does not support your “hate-Bush, hate-America” fantasies.

Additionally, any good strategist knows that you don’t wait until the enemy gets the high ground to attack him. You attack him before he gains an advantage. Kerry hasn’t a clue. To him, fighting terrorists should be a simple “policing action.” Bush attacked Iraq justifiably and now aims to use it as a beachhead against terrorism. It is a good approach, but leftists are working hard to destroy it, all for an election.

It also requires an approach that makes allies, and doesn't alienate the world.

The “world” had declared serious consequences for Iraq if it didn’t allow verification of the destruction of its WMD. And yet the world did nothing for 12 straight years, allowing Iraq to imply that it had WMD, using the implication as a veiled threat against others. In the face of 911, Bush properly understood that he could no longer allow this threat to persist. He implored the world to uphold its own resolution. But the world was too unthinking, too afraid and, in the case of the French and Germans, too greedy. Bush is President of the United States. He cannot give a world of pink socks and frilly shirts control of American security.

Finally, I am appalled by the number of responses on this thread from people who didn't see the urgency of the terrorist threat--just like bush.

There is no more Taliban controlling Afghanistan because of Bush while Clinton let the Taliban terrorize the world for eight whole years. Saddam was dug from his hole because of Bush while Clinton let Saddam defy the mandate to disarm for eight whole years. Al Qaeda is on the run while Clinton did nothing for eight whole years even though it struck America during Clinton’s tenure. Terrorists in Iraq are being slaughtered 20 to 1 because of Bush while Kerry seeks to hamper our success and you are claiming Bush doesn’t understand the threat. Fella, see your doctor for some serious milligrams of Reality.

I feel Clinton should have done more, but bush did nothing.

Okay, make that some serious pints of Reality.

Debate requires facts. Why don't the bushies provide them.

911 and the fact that Saddam refused to fulfill his obligation are all the facts Bush needed.

Perhaps they have no corroborating information??

3000 dead Americans, an Iraqi terrorist training camp and an Iraqi dictator who refuses to fulfill his obligation to prove disarmament are all the corroborating information that Bush needed. Even you know this. You just hate Bush such that common sense is no longer accessible to you, if ever it was.
