Kerry totally supports the troops in Iraq. The 87 billion was basically a blank, un-accounted for check which is probably filled with private pork barrel spending. The money was not neweded for 3-4 months and there should have been no hurry to pass that so quickly. Kerry also made a statement with that vote, that we Americans are not going to just give Bushies carte blanche with our money and foreign policy without scrutiny and checks and balances. If you look at the current fraud and over-charging being done in Iraq now, any fiscal conservative would want that 87 billion scrutinized. It's just more reckless spending in the name of protecting the troops. In fact, a ton of that money goes to non-troop expenditures including massive out-sourcing, sweetheart deals and who knows what else.

It is Cheney-Bush who jeopardized the safety of our troops byt rushing them into Iraq too quickly without a post-war plan or enough of a coalition. Now our troops are paying for those reckless decisions.
