He was thought to be a perfect target for the left, and it has backfired on them. Couldn't be a nicer outcome for the beating they thought they would give him in the 911 hearings.

One can't feel too sorry for them.....they brought it on themselves!

Ashcroft is definitely a classy guy. He had good reasons to call for a recount after the 2000 election, but chose not to. If only Gore had as much class...
