There was a disagreement. The station felt they were owed money, and negotiations to settle the disagreement were underway. It will now be settled in court.

Humor can't be explicated, I'm afraid. But if you don't find Franken funny, you won't enjoy his show.

Franken has never been funny, never clever. On all fronts, the guy seems a little light in the pants.
