W,
...and a 2% rate in the face of 1% inflation is not the end of the world. I think that they will very cautious in raising rates. One good month for employment and one good(up) month for inflation is exactly that, just one month. The whole point of fed policy for the past two years was to fight off deflation/depression which looking back at 9/11 was in the cards. This is why i have supported bush economic policy. Yes the time has come to declare victory over the double d's but that doesnt not mean eliminating every tool that gave us victory. We are one month into inflation and job creation. The bond bears may yet get another surprise before this is all done. Who knows? All i know i hate to root for low job creation and no inflation and pricing power so my semi stocks can go up. <g> mike
