You seem to forget we have been working on this for many months. Look at the time it took to set up the Governing Council and for them to adopt an interim Constitution. To me setting up the infrastructure of Government is the most difficult part. I agree Chalabi is probably not the best choice (only cause he appears unpopular in Iraq, not because he isnt capable) for interim President. If it were me, I probably would let the Governing Council select the interim President to accept handover of power, so long as we had the right to determine that individual would adhere to the interim constitution. jdn
