<learning the ins and outs of option investing.>

Book: "How to Lose Your Ass in 30 days or Less" <g>

Or more seriously, there is a wealth of information online at the CBOE website.

cboe.com

Especially in the "Learning Center" portion cboe.com

They would like to help you learn to lose your ass.

I'd say knowing about options and be able to fully trade options is very important given the ever growing casino atmosphere of the US markets.

OT^2:

" So what useful information have you paid for concerning investing over the years that you would recommend to me and other potential buyers?"

Well, high on my list would be my own work. I saw a need and have tried to fill it, but much of what I write is to help me focus to improve my own results. When I worked in high tech, they said the best way to get good at something is to try and teach another... which is why engineers usually mentored others...

I have a pretty decent reading list that I can send you via email if you are interested... I have a smaller version of it here home.netcom.com

I think all it lacks is one book the publisher asked me to write a review for amazon.com
Those are all worth the money I think.

As for options, I don't think they are designed for the small investor to make money. I buy suppliers for the cyclical stocks as options that never expire (unless they go bankrupt). If you are guessing Intel, then why not buy LRCX, UTEK and AMAT instead of an option?

I'd much rather risk a few grand at a time in a mirco cap stock than in an option that eventually becomes worthless.
