OT- too, If so, we'd better watch out for the Mamelukes. <G> The Mamelukes defeated a much smaller Mongol army in a battle in Syria. Despite the fact that it was 100,000 Mamelukes vs. 25,000 Mongols, everyone else in the world realized that Mongols could actually be beaten and acted accordingly. Especially the Poles. Also, the Mamelukes learned that they could divide the Mongol armies by having the Golden Horde in Russia attack their Persian Mongol cousins any time the Il-Khan of Persia mounted an invasion of Syria. That's where we really have to be careful. If the Arabs find out they can make friends with the North Koreans and former Yugoslavians, they may keep us fighting many fires in many areas at the same time.
