"So, the bottom 40% own .2% of the nation's wealth. They should be paying around .2% of the federal taxes. The top 1% own 38% of the wealth, they should be paying about 38% of the federal taxes" Can't you see the dis-incentive for this plan? It has a strong incentive to remain poor and pay no taxes. Little incentive to get ahead. You may be better off in a system like Cuba or the old Soviet Republic.
