Kerry was a war hero, prosecutor, businessman, lieutenant governor, and senator. None of that was handed to him by daddy and daddy's friends like every single deal GW ever made was.

Bush has never really worked hard at anything until after 9-11 for awhile when he concentrated mainly on Iraq. Then he went back to smoozing and raising money and dinners and lunches. That's what he does best. He really doesn't do his homework, his reading, his writing. perhaps that's why he picked cheney to run everything for him, Cheney one of the most far rightwing leaders around who got even more extreme rightwing (and more dishonest) between Bush administrations. Mjust be the Halliburton effect. The philosophy is clearly to rip off tax-payers and consumers while breaking any law they can get away with. Cheney learned some bad habits.
