But since gov't owned all industry and paid all wages, if they wanted to they could have had no taxes at all. Set wages to guarantee industrial profits and live on them." ------------------------------------------------------- LL, I said FORMERLY Communist countries... they are CAPITALIST now (& at least sort of 'Democracies'). It was as Capitalist 'Democracies' that Russia, Slovakia, and others, wiped their tax codes clean and installed Flat Tax systems! That seems to make our inaction all the more shameful and unproductive.
