I'm sure I'm not the only one struck by the irony that at the end of April last year, Bush had his carrier strut in front of his Mission Accomplished banner. This April was already the bloodiest month of the incursion, before it was half over. With a current death toll count of 681, the 690 mark is likely to be topped before the strut anniversary. So over five times as many deaths as when it was Mission accomplished.

Way to go, George.
