Is America more secure having launched a unilateral war to remove Saddam? The answer is no. This is not about the Russians, the French and the Germans. This is about the national security of the United States. The unilateral invasion of Iraq as and when undertaken by Bush was not in our best interests. The lying that took place by the Bush Administration is merely part of the dirty story of how we could have made this mistake. But in the end, what matters most is national security --and on that score we lost this war.
