They are control freaks, to be sure --constantly anxious about their grip on the media-military complex... But, as with all control freaks, it's all "freak" and no "control"... Was Spain's PM Aznar in "total control" on March 11, 2004? Is the Pentagon in "total control" of what's going on in Iraq? Is Pope John Paul II in control of anything? Oh, but the backstage wheeler-dealers are! Wall Street bankers and moneybags are in control! Really? Was the late Edmond Safra in control up in his Monaco penthouse when they tried to "smoke him out"? And Robert Maxwell buoying belly-up in the Atlantic? Was Berezhovsky in control when he asked for political asylum in Britain? Oh! Dammit... I know one shadowy financier who IS IN CONTROL: Yukos's former boss Khodorkovsky!! That guy's still in control... of his 10x10 square-feet cell --LOL! So, don't despair Ray, "reality" can turn tricky --and slip away from its self-proclaimed "controllers".... After all, that's basically why wars, financial catastrophes (Enron, Arthur Andersen,...), revolutions, or pandemics flare up every now and then.... Gus
