Every person intends the natural and probable consequences of their own acts. Bush invaded Iraq without a clear exit strategy. The natural and probable consequences of that decision were that we would be seen as an occupier and have to act as an occupier for an indefinite and unpredictable period of time. Bush should have told us, in advance, that our military would be there for many years.
