I can understand that Fathers disenchantment, and I can understand any personell now extended beyond the original tour being pissed off BUT, if they cool down and reveiw the facts they ought to certainly see that Bush has no choice in this matter.

You are so blinded by your point of view, you can't see the forest for the trees. What that father knows is that Bush mislead the nation when it comes to the WMDs issue and would not, no, refused to let the weapons inspectors do their job. If they had, his son would not be fighting in Iraq and there would not be 600 Americans dead and over $120 billion spent.

If Bush's party did not control Congress, impeachment proceedings would be underway as I type this post. He is the worst president in more than 50 years.

PeaceKeeping troops are only valuable when there is PEACE. Those BLUE HELMETS as was mentioned are only a TRIP WIRE in the event someone BREAKS THE PEACE. They are totally unprepared and in actuality ORDERED not to fight anyone. When the first bullet flies they are to duck for cover AND TATTLE TALE. That is there ONLY MISSION.

Why would the UN want to go in? The place has turned into a hell hole thanks to Messrs. Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld.

We do not yet have PEACE in that country. It is beset by guerillas from the Baathist party, terrorists from many including Al Quaida training, and foreign Agents from Iran and Syria. All 3 elements realize that a Democracy in the Middle East spells DOOM for them in the long run. jdn

It is more likely that Bush is Phi Beta Kappa than Iraq will turn into a democracy.
