The rightwing will simply not stop lying and smearing to protect their SECRETS. They do not want democracy to work, and they want to be able to create illusions for the public while hiding their real motives and actions in the shadows. The secret is that they really don't care about people at all and are not efficiently running our government. They are mainly trying to re-construct this country so that it only benefits the few and is run by the very few, the proud, the extreme rightwing ideologues. That's why honest conservatives like McCain and Hagel aren't even allowed to participate. Honest conservatives are not trusted to keep the secrets. The secrets are centered in the deep, dark mind of Dick Cheney, who has stonewalled every investigation, every judge, dodged every ray of shinelight and is refusing to even show his energy papers all the way to the Supreme Court. BTW: Those energy papers may show a conspiracy to defraud the consumers during the phony 2000 energy crisis, jack up energy prices more and destroy environmental laws.
