It doesn't help a bit.

Michael Moore's comments on Iraq and John Kerry's are diametrically opposed. Almost as opposed as Moore's and Bush's.

Moore says the people we're fighting in Iraq are in the right, they will win the conflict with us and they deserve to win and we will lose and we deserve to lose.

The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win.

Kerry says Americans of all political persuasions are united in our determination to succeed. The extremists attacking our forces should know they will not succeed in dividing America, or in sapping American resolve, or in forcing the premature withdrawal of U.S. troops. Our country is committed to help the Iraqis build a stable, peaceful and pluralistic society. No matter who is elected president in November, we will persevere in that mission.

Kerry wrote some good words right there. But those words are the exact opposite of what Moore wants to happen. So why would Moore see Kerry as an alternative to Bush? Kerry's position is like Bush's with more UN involvement (which I think is a pipedream but thats neither here nor there).
