The system is broken.

Foreign countries and U.S. pharmacuetical companies conspire against the U.S. consumer. They are aided by anti-free trade regulations imposed by congress and enforced by the FDA.

The pharmas argue that their IP rights will be violated if they don't enter into severe discount agreements with the foreign nations. Unfortunately for the U.S consumer, this is a valid claim.
