All leaders accept responsibility for what happens on their watch. The conclusion is obvious: Bush is not a leader.

You ask for Bush errors: In his Jan 29, 2002 SOTU address, Bush said: "our budget will run a deficit that will be small and short-term".

The deficit over the last 12 months has been $702 BILLION! (April 14, 2003 to April 14, 2004)
SOURCE: publicdebt.treas.gov

Is that "small and short-term"? And Bush has no excuses. Bush knew about the recession - it was over when he made his comments. Bush knew about 9/11. And now we know Bush already knew he was going to invade Iraq! No excuses, just errors.

And failing to admit your errors shows lack of leadership. Of course Bush is compounding his error by calling for permanent tax cuts. Kerry is proposing to reign in the deficit and is criticized for proposing tax increases on the top income earners. Yet Bush has made no counter proposals!

Remember Reagan admitted the deficit was out of hand and raised taxes in 1983 (after cutting taxes in 1981). Bush will NOT admit his errors. Bush is NO leader.

I believe Kerry will make the hard fiscal choices!

Cheney should dump Bush and run with Ken Lay.
Cheney is the real president, not Bush. He's just a frontman. Ken Lay would have much more credibility as a fiscal leader than Bush.
