OK Michal, I really have narrowed it down to one favorite. It's the one Croc likes -- the man, the railing and the strong shadows. I knew all along why I liked it: the complex composition of strong railing, strong shadows, yet still keeping obvious (at least for me) that the story being told is about the man -- the main subject -- sitting among all those strong lines. I liked it because I thought that was clever, different, etc., etc.

However, better than being "just" a good image, now I realize why it's my favorite. That's because the man's hand is holding the railing. Without that, it would be just a clever, though admirable, composition. The hand holding the railing also holds the entire picture together almost as if the man is holding the railing and shadows in place around him, giving him the comfort of being protected from whatever lies beyond the railing. Or maybe the hand is in the ready position to brace himself as he lifts himself up and walks beyond the comfort zone the railing provides. Either way, despite all the interesting lines, the picture is still about him and what he's about to do or not about to do. Marvelous!
