Cobalt was mined in Cobalt Ontario, always as a primary stand-alone metal. Where it occurred there was never enough silver to mine alone. Where there was silver, the Cobalt was negligible. This was the rule in most mines. Also in the NWT there were some small Cobalt operations that were hand cobbed. I know of one occurrence 30 feet wide, drilled, with 0.20% Cobalt in it. It has other stuff that may be ignored. It could be shallowly pitted at a profit. Little overburden. At most other operations world wide, Cobalt is a by product of Ni-Pt mining.

Rex Lake-Werner Lake, Ontario has some Ni deposits with one of the most important metal being Cobalt. Canmine is/was? operating in one that is primarily a Cobalt producer. Atikwa is exploring another. There are some Cobalt-rich deposits in areas of Africa.

Mari-Ann Green with Formation has a deposit in the States that is Cobalt rich, if not primary.

On the Gold front, KGI has some intersection news down dip on one new parallel zone of excellent width and grade recently.
