Micro mini Barron's review. Lousy issue with two bright and one semi-bright spots. 1. The bright spot was Abelson's column. He discussed the China slowdown and the ignorance of any such possibility in Wall Street and in Washington. We've already seen in the 9/11 Hearings that our current muckety mucks need perps to draw them a map, state the date, time and place, and remind them constantly if there is to be any possibility of them anticipating anything. <G>

Then Abelson decides to slime Jim Cramer and does a great job, using the bald bobo's own words to slice and dice him. He even made me look up the word "apercus". He discusses how Cramer is just buying any POS that is rising in price. Names include Taser and XM Satellite. Then he goes on to mention Jim's recommendation in early 2000 to buy another list. Then he dares to mention how much those stocks are worth today. Hopefully, everyone who bought that list has been able to replenish his fortune by selling subscriptions so other sheep can follow his recommendations in the future. <G> However, expect Krudlowest and Crammah to scream foul in their nightly tout fest. BTW, Abelson also called CNBS "Tout TV," which means a lot coming from the Editor of Tout Magazine. <g> But at least Barron's does give some background.

2. A very good piece on small biotechs.

3. The Ned Davis interview is strange. He knows everything but seems to have a problem making up his mind. He knows the bearish stuff and the bullish stuff and comes down on the side of looking at how the market did in other Presidential election years. Pretty weak. Interesting guy, but seems to have a problem pulling the trigger.

The rest is for birdcages.
