Israel practices self-defense. If the fellas with explosives around their middle would quit going in to the midst of innocents before blowing themselves up, the defensive measures would become unnecessary, and everybody could go about their business.

The teenager you refer to voluntarily put herself in harm's way on an issue that she knew too little about to act wisely. She has no one but herself to blame.
