this conversation started about back in 1960's not today. I would hope uaw is doing everything. as well as management to preserve jobs. That wasn't the case back in early 60's ps another example.. take a look at UsAir. labor contracts. they are now competing against southwest and others. Unless labor contracts are renegotiated to a more favorable rate US air will be no longer be in business. It doesn't mean that a lot of the problems also are not management fault.
