Intel's New Pentium 4 From Israel (DFJ-Jan/Feb 01) Kiryat Gat - Intel Corp. recently introduced the Pentium 4 microprocessor, heralded as the fastest chip available for personal computers. The chip, which embodies a new design or micro-architecture called Netburst, will serve as the basis of several generations of chips in the future and was produced at Intel's Fab 18 Kiryat Gat plant in Israel, among others. Intel hasn't introduced a new micro-architecture since 1995, when the Pentium Pro came out. The new PC's will be sold by leading vendors including Compaq, Dell Computer Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. and IBM. The processor is initially aimed at high-end customers who are heavy users of 3-D graphics, video, audio, multimedia and Internet technologies, and are prepared to pay the estimated $2,000 to $3,000 per computer depending on individual configurations. For functions such as word processing, significant differences are not expected to be noticeable. Pricing in volume quantities is $819 and $644 each for the 1.5 and 1.4 gigahertz (GHz) parts, respectively. "Based on our experience with the transition from Pentium II to Pentium III, it will take a few years before Pentium 4 becomes the market leader," said Moshe Vanun, general manager of Intel Semiconductors, Intel's sales and marketing group in Israel. According to industry analysts, by 2002 the Pentium 4 is expected to start overtaking the Pentium III in terms of revenues but will still lag behind in number of units. Intel plans to increase the speed to 2GHz by the third quarter of 2001. The Kiryat Gat plant, which employs 1,500 people directly and close to another 1,500 indirectly, is a likely contender for producing the smaller micron chips. Hmmmmmm.........Egypt has 74 million people and Israel has 6 million. Egypt gets < $3 billion per year and Israel gets > $3 billion. That's sounds real fair......NOT! It is quite fair. Egypt has a large land mass to support its population. It also has vast numbers of religious allies in the region, all of which surround Israel. And still, Egypt is a pot of pure crap. According to the CIA's factbook, 3% of Egypt's land is arable. Egypt is mostly desert. When the Jews as well as the Europeans were pissing in their underwear and selling pots out of their carts, a huge Islamic empire stretched from S. Spain thru N. Africa…During this time, the Arabs developed the concept…Understand.....at that time, Jews and Europeans were one step above barbarians. Well. Half of this is just complete and utter hogwash. Which half? The half you don't want to hear, or the half you never learned in school? Western European and Byzantine culture had been established quite a good deal earlier than 500A.D. and everyone knows it. The Greeks were not barbarians and everyone knows it. The minor spike in cultural increase in Islam (and it was minor, relative to the gargantuan increase of Europe) was underscored only because at the time Europe was undergoing the Dark Ages. Yes, Islam was going through a renaissance while Europeans were dying of the plague and practicing witchcraft. BTW, o wise one, the Byzantine empire was based in the city of Byzantium which eventually became Istanbul, the former capital of Turkey which is a Muslim nation. But once those ended and the Renaissance ensued, Europe retook its former reign of the world, and that is why you sit now viewing the Internet. The Islamic Empire still existed while Europe was in the ascendant. The Islamic Empire did not begin to fall apart until the 19th century during the time of the Byzantines. By WW I, it had mostly fallen apart. It is why you speak English here and not that savage language, “Arabic.” Besides, even if what you claim is completely true, it is most irrelevant because muslims across the world are pure murderous savages today. The issue has to do with today, not a thousand years ago. Most Europeans were murderous savages right up until WW II when Hitler outdid himself and murdered 6 million Jews. And this country, America, has more murders per year than some Muslim nations. It seems to me you really don't know what you're talking about. You don't know much about extremist Israelis, do you? They are not a worldwide, religiously-inspired phenomenon as is the case with the Islamics. While there are extremists in all groups, only the muslims are found murdering people world-wide and directly because of texts from their gutter religion. That's true......they are mostly in Israel. Of course, the Muslims cover a third of the world.......that might explain why they murder around the world. Apparently, in your narrow, little world, but in the real world, it makes little sense [to support Israel]. Israel has just popped two leaders of Hamas, both enemies of the world. Israel only wishes to exist without having some muslim murder it. It makes great sense to help her with that simple goal. You need to read up on what exactly Israel is doing. The Israelis are not the innocents you're trying to portray. In fact, they are anything but ignorant. What they do have is a great marketing program and an incredible lobby in Washington. I see......they shoot their women and mutilate their genitals. Do you have any other urban legends to share with us........like they eat their young? The WTC does not exist because of Islamic savages, not Jewish savages, but only because of Islamic savages. It is no urban legend that they are savages to women and girls. It is no legend that they are savages period. Look.......before you post with me again, you'd better do your homework. I've done mine and I know what you're posting is mostly stuff you've overheard on FOX, or out and out lies that you have made up. Misinformed Americans like you are destroying this country.
