During the debates with Gore, the press had Bush's standards down so low that when he didn't do totally terrible they said he did better than expected...........be careful not to allow Bush to put the bar so low that no one can go under it. This may be why his handlers let him do it..........so he could wow then in the scripted debates. ( maybe)

The Presidential debates will certainly be staged with tons of rules and pre-staged questions like last time. They even had a rule not allowing each candidate to address each other. Once, Gore broke the rule and asked Bush a question and he looked at him like a dummy........LOL But, the general public didn't seem to care...........the question will be how to make them care.

I have a feeling that Bush held his press conference before Kerry because he thought he might be able to upstage him............just like he flew into Baghdad right before Hillary was scheduled to arrive last Thanksgiving. This time it backfired........... Bush thought his religious message would be assisted by God himself ( or herself). In which case God let him hang out to dry so we now know God isn't on his side even inspite of all his religious nonsense. ( I am religious but I know better then to think God supports all the bloodshed that Bush has unleashed).
