Kerry explained that today. He and Biden had an amendment which required a partial tax rollback for the very rich to pay for the 87 billion. It made sense, was a moderate idea and the right thing to do. Bushies killed it of course, protecting the fat cats once more. But Kerry voted for it. That vote was for the 87 billion, so long as it was paid for by the rich and was partly a loan not a huge foreign welfare giveaway to Iraq. Get it?

So I guess you're wrong. Kery didn't flip-flop did he?

BTW: that 87 billion vote in no way affected thr troops and wouldn't have for 4 months or so. Kerry's goal was to put a hold on the blank check and negotiate tougher terms requiring fiscal responsibility and accountability. The delay would have only been for a week or two. If you don't fiscal responsibility in our government, vote Cheney-Bush. They are fiscally reckless and try to avoid all accountability.
