Byzantine history ended in 1453 when the Muslims completed their conquest. BTW, when is the Muslim world going to apologize to Christians for that atrocity? When the Christians apologize for their atrocities against the Muslims. Also, the Byzantines never heard the word Byzantine. They called themselves Romani or Romans - which in fact they were in a direct line, beginning way before Mohammed was born. And what did they call the city of Byzantium? Italy? The Islamic Empire did not begin to fall apart until the 19th century during the time of the Byzantines. Yes, that was a typo on my part........it should have read Ottomans.
