Frankly, I am somewhat amazed the Jews havent become paranoid over all of this and reacted even more forcibly. They are paranoid......why do you think they are building a twenty foot wall along the 'green line' I say that cause we have recently had an Israeli husband and wife join our jeep club. Both served in the Israeli Army. Being always inquisitive I have interviewed them at great length about what goes on over there and what it feels like personally to live under the conditions of terrorism daily. Believe it or not, they are very matter of fact about the whole thing, far less excitable then we are way back here in America. They seem to accept it as thats just the way it is, no big deal. They certainly seem to have absolutely no fear. As to the "Wall" my understanding is it is to PREVENT terrorists from easily getting into the israeli areas by funnelling them through checkpoints where they can be searched etc. This actually results in less accidental killings etc of Palistinians, reduces the number of Israeli defense forces necessary to police the area. The downside is it makes it VERY difficult for the law abiding peaceful Palistinian to go about his affairs. jdn
