Perhaps I should have said "Intifada", which of course includes the terrorism. I was referring to the way the occupation has begat today's terrorism.

The terrorism today is hardly the same animal as the terrorism of a fringe group with the unrealistic aim of erasing Israel from the map. My understanding is that Palestinians are fighting Israel right now for a corner of their own, not to kill every Israeli on the planet and meanwhile destroy the state of Israel.
