But on the other hand if there is a terror attack after a pull back what Israel should do then

They should build factories in Palestine so the people do not have to come to Israel for work, and they should fill the border with blue helmeted troops. This would include air support to ensure no overflights of each others territories. After a generation or two they could normalize relations further.

Oh and about land, another prospective

What this and most other similar "perspectives" omit, understandably, as it destroys their argument, is that the British Mandate gives persons of Jewish identity the right to rule and populate an area already populated. That the locals were slightly annoyed and frustrated about loads of immigrants from Europe and elsewhere overtaking their home is perhaps understandable. If only the authors of that "perspective" took into account the fact that we are not talking about a desert island but an already populated area.

Steven Rogers explains it far better than I could:

But on the other hand if there is a terror attack after a pull back (and since many Muslim fanatics don't want to see any Jewish state - it will happened IMO), what Israel should do then???????????

It does what every country who ever lived with terrorism did - deal with it by enforcing their security and intelligence and taking counter measures. Legal ones, I mean. Not dropping bombs on houses you think a terrorist is staying :-)

Terrorism always feeds on a cause. The larger the population that the cause appeals to, the more terrorists and terrorism you will have. Right now, pretty much ALL Palestinians agree with the need to fight Israel - to stop the oppression and the occupation, to have a country of their own.

When they achieve that, the vast majority of the population will be interested in making babies and watching them grow, and working for a better future. It will only be the fanatics, as you have said, who will still attack Israel, but that will be a miniscule minority of nuts, who will not be supported by the general populace and will hence wither as a fringe group - that much easier to fight and destroy.

Amots - you will get elitist responses from those who feel that you should give terrorists a subpoena and a summons. I guarantee that once these effete "thinkers" suffer an attack or there is one on his or her family, they will be a bit less intellectual and a bit more honest.

It is very clear that the vast majority of Israelis want peace behind defensible borders, which would be a modifications of the 1967 border. It's a fact of life and that will likely be the ultimate settlement. There will be a Palestinian state, with international guarantees, including universal access to all religious sites.

However, Israel's strength has been in NOT granting concessions to terrorism. When dealing with terrorists, one has to be right 100% of the time. It's a copout to say that if Israel coddled the terrorists, they would lose their popular support and only a few would continue. One is too many.
