Those companies are here in the business of media. In this capitalistic society, they have an outreach to more audiences. If they tilt too liberal to the taste of general populace, they will lose market share - plain and simple. New York Times and Washington Post - despite flaws and fiascos a la Jayson Blair - are the best as it can get as far as the reporting is concerned. They are still adhereing to certain ethics, guidelines and standards of reporting that were established many decades ago. They are as time tested as they can get and reach out to a wide audience with good reason. THEY ARE THE PAPER OF RECORD. I think I am bright enough to recognize the value of these 2 news outlets.
