IRS tax refunds the last three weeks only up 9.05% yoy, versus up 13.9% YTD up to March 26. So the last minute filers are not getting the refunds expected, and the process is 85% over. The latest DTS withholding is no big shakes either: 4-5 through 4-16 was 52,626 vs 52,462, up 0.3%. Economy quickly getting lethargic, stimulus worn off? Sure looks that way, the next couple weeks will provide more clues. Maybe a reason for this: WMT?
