Orca, the thing about the "energy crisis" of 2000-01 with manipulation of the gas pipelines and the shutting down of the electical generation plants, is that it's hard to imagine it would have happened unless the manipulators believed that they would be protected from the subsequent scrutiny of the feds.

At that time I was heavily invested in oil and one of the things that defied logic was that while the prices were high, the oil exploration companies were not doing a corresponding volume of oil exploration. That indicated to me that either there was a source of cheap oil looming on the horizon, (Iraq), or that the energy crisis was manipulated. Maybe, in retrospect, it was both.

The geopolitical aspects of oil are pervasive in the world, and especially in this administration which has been created and seeded with oil money.

It's a game of chess and we're the pawns. Unfortunately the ones playing our color are playing checkers.

GM recalling 100,000 Chevy Malibus.

Something about a problem with the ABS systems.

That would be a design defect.

One for the "management is at fault" column.

Michael Moore will be pleased.
