There was one man named Jesus who was from Nazareth and who died on a roman cross and who rose again from the dead, That's the one we're talking about. That's the one the Apostles wrote about.

actually there was always a "Messiah" , and he is the one the prophets wrote about as well centuries upon centuries earlier .... i am not confused .

Or perhaps you didn't read what was just posted you of Isaiah's prophecy ?
Message 20040554

An image of what the Messiah would be and the prophecy of what the Messiah would do, what signs and miracles "He" would wrought was already inculcated deeply into the fabric of the "expectant" legend and belief from long times before , and there was also the Essene mystics who removed themselves out into the deserts to seek accord with "God" away from the chaos of the city in that very time . I see no evidence of one from Nazereth at all , do you ? The story of the Messiah was always deeply present then and dfrom before , so the creation or appearance of one and many was always there, and they did keep reappearing and reappearing . Many an idealistic youth seeking to challenge authority and do God and Tribe's work in the process.

There always have been more than one named Jesus that was crucified by the romans in that time for being deemed troublesome , even one that was not from Nazereth that had begun a pacifist movement in the north . The romans took very little note of these deaths and punishments ,for they were so numerous in that time and area...and these saviors were always being looked for and surfacing in many forms among the various tribes all over the semite world in fact down to Mohammed .

But that you "believe" in "one" is all that matters ?

Others have their God and Messiahs just as your belief does . Keep adapting.

The only confusion is whether you are a calculated liar, or just a taunting sadistic unprincipled liar, Greg. Nonetheless, it is apparent to every reader: You are a fabricator.

You've stated this notion twice now, about the "vast majority of historians" believing in the biblical Jesus and his supernaturality, and cite not ONE SINGLE source for your laughable taunt.

NOT ONE, because there is none. And a reading of peripheral attitudes about historians give it a low probability of being so.

A person might as well say "the vast majority of carpenter's levels lay horizontally, with their bubble in the middle, thus proving that the Earth is a flat coin". << an assertion that is not based on examining ANY carpenter's levels, nor their disposition, and finally drawing an unconnected conclusion. The SAME as yours, Greg.

I give allowance for a man (such as "Frederick Smart" )to state what they will, go on and on. Let a man have his say, make his claim, and argue only his statement, not his person.... But for someone to make this outlandish, UNSUPPORTED claim, over and over, speaks of a =unquestionable= lack of character. What of the popularly-called "Ten Commandments" and the bearing of "false witness"?? For you, is it some "mental garment" to be worn and shed depending on the occasion?

"No one is confused by this but you Mars." <<
The lying by you Greg never stops!
Unashamed fabricator!

You know Greg, the curse of a liar is not that anyone believes him... it is that the liar believes no one.

What is most despicable is not the lying per se... I know of no one who doesn't lie, now and again. But to come on an internet message board, with nothing at stake, and then make up lie after lie...you have to be mentally-ill to engage in such a "hobby".
