Cheney-Bush Saudi buddy Bandar lies twice on CNN, caught by Woodward. Oops. Bandar caught twice, denying Saudis rig oil prices for Bushies and that Cheney-Bush decided on war with Iraq before they even knew about the WMD's intelligence, congressional vote or UN reaction. Woodward proved he lied by telling him he heard it directly from Rumsfeld and the President. Lesson is Saudis lie as much as Bushies. Peas in a pod.

What you need to decide is if the one above is able to make up his mind and keep it that way. Especially if the winds the directed the decision start to change. Your observation if it were the only point would be true. Unfortunately this is a far more complicated situation - and kerry has done little to show principled leadership. Well you make excellent points. I certainly understand your concern and do not champion John Kerry as a principled leader. He hasn't shown me that, yet. But I guess if it comes down to a person who can be blown about by the winds of change, versus someone who is so rigidly certain of his right that he cannot conceive of another way, I find the flexibility more appealing than the rigidity. I can understand the inflexibility of the military. This is required of them. But when our civilian leader believes he's doing the will of god, I tremble for my country. Why are we offered these two choices at this terrible time in our history? Where is the leader we need, our champion to guide us? Is it true that we get the leaders we deserve? The current occupant of the White House is a known and frightening quantity. Maybe Kerry will rise to the challenge? I don't know.

You'd think that when Bush was making up his mind about whether to take the nation to war that he might have consulted with his dad. He's the only other person in the world who has been in a war with Saddam, and he's still alive. But according to Woodward's book he never consulted with his father...only a "higher father" was consulted. Interesting...we're being led by a son from a dysfunctional family who was a big boozer...then found the "Lord" and now does not consult with the lower father. That's troubling indeed! Orca
