That's because most of America was led to believe that most of our contribution to the war effort (just like that of Bush's own daughters), was to be spent shopping - not shooting. I think it is this "personalization" of things by the left that is killing them with the middle. We don't talk that way about Kerry. Of course, we don't hate Kerry. It's Florida, isn't it? Of course it is Florida. The Democrats just can't get over it. You will notice that the polls out today, after Bush's worst couple of weeks in his Presidency, are holding. People are just sick of the bitterness and calumny.
