I don't see them looking for an exit strategy, that would mess up their long term plans of having a gas station in Iraq to exploit. I see them getting even more entrenched which would benefit the defense and construction and oil industries regardless of who wins November.

The instability also creates the spectre of a war time president who is less vulnerable than a peace time president. I think too many are looking the wrong way when they view the Bush admin in Iraq. They keep thinking that he's looking to create a democracy in Iraq. Total bs IMO.

The Bush admin wants to control Iraq. Of course it wants to control the world but that's another story.

The reality is that the US isn't the world's only superpower. We are being bogged down in a country 1/10th our size and are having to go to the international community for help.

Sure we can blow up the world using nuclear arms but it's not power if you destroy yourself at the same time, that's stupidity.
