Right and Kerry went home because of a finger nail scratch... When was Bush's National Guard unit sent to Nam?
lolol How do you know if someone replaced him that he was killed. You are rewriting history again AS, and it is untrue.

Bush avoided going to Nam. Another boy with the same birthday went instead. He was killed. Bush stayed home and even went AWOl from training. Everything was birthday oriented with the draft, remember? Many there were many with Bush's birthday but at least one of them was KIA while Bush was avoiding service.

This is a general observation to everyone who refers to the country of Viet Nam as Nam. There is no country called Nam. There is a country called Viet Nam. For those who served in the American War in Viet Nam and experienced the insanity firsthand, there is a place called "Nam" or "the Nam." It has a very specific meaning to those who were there. Those who were not there cannot comprehend the meaning of "the Nam."

It would seem to me that out of respect for the country of Viet Nam, as well as those who served and sacrificed there, those who talk about the country would call it by its name, Viet Nam or Vietnam as per your preference.

Just my .02.
