Like I told ya I lived there for 4+ years. As far as weather goes I think I would have liked north Alabama better but that would have taken me further away from Panama City Florida. All the high school kids in our town would beg for a ride to PC. I was pretty popular because I had a car and it never cost me a cent for gas.

My wife and I might have stayed there but in south Alabama if you didn't work for a private contractor that contracted to the Army for helicopter work that left farming. At the time I was in junior college, had bills, was color blind so no work on helicopters and my parents and brother were heading to Germany. The place I was working for (tiki custom campers) shut it's doors because the wife put the business so far in the hole with her spending that there was no way out.
I knew I had a job here in Connecticut and a cheap place to stay as well. My wife (at the time engaged) came up 4 months later.

End of my boring story!
