We need to get to a point where a conservative could live with kerry and a liberal with bush. We are far away from that i am afraid. Note the news from england and jordan today about the size and scope of the failed terror attacks. We do not have time for this partisan crap we see so often on both lib and con threads. It will cause us to take our eye off the prize and maybe we wont be as lucky or should i say as focused as the brits and jordanians were. As far as iraq goes, we can keep arguing the past or move forward from where we are now. Nader said again to pull out. Kerry and Bush seem to have mirror image policies but kerry is prone to change his mind and bush is prone to not. Where are joe biden and john McCain when we need them? Problem may be in the selection process itself. mike

I guess you didn't look at all of the posts. There were
articles included, but only those found posted on SI from
my hasty search. However, this was all within 48 hours of
the first plane hitting the WTC. The venom from the left
was clear & palpable, clearly in stark contrast you your
baseless assertion.

Now you change the assertion....

"in other words that all this pointing the finger of
blame by both sides is impediment to the real debate of
over improving national security."

Funny, that's not what I replied to. Seems you are
changing your assertion from 'Neocon bashing was over the
top' to 'both sides were wrong'.

What you originally said was,
<font size=4>
"But conservatives, who play the blame game as well as
any, greeted the tragedy with such a cacophony of Clinton
bashing that even the most sensible of us moderate/leftists
enjoy watching these same Bushies squirm and twist slowly
in the backfire of their own wind."

I looked for evidence. I found the left bashing more than
the right big time & challenged you. You have yet to
provide any evidence to support your baseless assertion.
