The years that we tolerated no UN inspections were vital and should have been acted on! <<You don't invade a country for some UN resolution they disobeyed 5-10 years before.>> By the the time UN sanctions are placed you invade a country and remove the leader on the first example of lack of cooperation. If you don't agree then I don't want to hear you talk about how great the UN is. Either the UN is the last word or its irrelevant - take your pick but be consistent
