My letter to the editor in the Palm Beach Post.

Regarding Tuesday's article "U.N. scandal has legs, but no friends." The general accounting office estimates that United Nations members "who opposed GEORGE BUSH'S WAR," were involved in a $10 billion in bribery and fraud involving the oil for food program. At the same time the French, German and Russians were accepting bribes, they opposed the U.S. in ousting Saddam Hussein. They ignored the fact that the entire European continent will directly benefit from a free and Democratic Iraq. These are the same nations that the left in this country say President Bush did not bring along on HIS march to war. Europeans and liberals should stop directing their anger at the U.S. for stepping up to the plate to liberate the Iraqi people, and should instead direct their hostilities at the French, German's and Russians who dishonorably abandon the people of Iraq while leaving the U.S. strapped with the financial and military burden. The fact that the entire United Nations should have joined us in liberating the Iraqi people had it not been for greed and bribery should annoy all Americans. Iraq is part of the global war on terror that will not be lost overseas unless it is lost in America first. The left/liberals throughout the world must take responsibility in this global war. On 9/11 the world was joined as one. It is ashame that greed, has broken an alliance that has worked for 60 years to help make the world a freer society. When will the world learned that appeasement never works. The next time terrorists strike, they will not care which party the victims belong to.

Are you too blind to see that Kerry is a BUG with no ethics willing to say whatever he thinks he needs to say to get elected and has no intention of paying any attention to his comments if he is successful. jdn
