I bought RFMD right before the close and it has popped nicely on MOT's numbers. But I'll need more than that!

Awww .. there you go again ..

earnings reports are just marketing tools for the brokerages.

What makes prices go up are people willing to pay those prices. If earnings can be made to look good, most of the time folks will pay slightly higher prices for the stock.
