Kerry is a major war hero but you will never find him bragging about it. Until this campaign he was well known for hardly even mentioning it. However since Bush claims he's the "war president" and prances around in costume on air-craft carriers playing jet pilot and singing "mission acomplished" Kerry had to stand up and call him on his BS. Real veterans don't do that sort of thing.
