Israel seeks military victory -- not peace. There will be no peace. It is only a matter of time before one of Israel's neighbors develops the weapons to obliterate Israel. There will be killing -- there will be murder on both sides, but there will never be military victory for Israel, and there will never be peace, only a murderous "war" that never ends until the day when all are dead. Those who advocate a military solution do not serve Israel well -- the best hope for Israel is peace. Peace is impossible so long as Israel continues the flagrant provocation of Israeli settlements on Palestinian land. By associating so closely with Israeli militarism, America reinforces its reputation as a country that speaks in lofty terms about peace and democracy while practicing militarism and supporting policies that destroy any prospect for peace.
