Mq is right that a lot of Americans have, at least in the past, given money to the IRA. I used to know a lawyer who went around all the time with a machine gun shaped from Gaelic letters on his lapel (he said it spelled Sinn Fein), but he died recently.

I just took at look at the Sinn Fein online giftshop and you can still buy a similar pin, only $6.03.

Yes Dennis, lots. For every IRA supporter who died, there was an innocent American who didn't. So, the more the merrier! There was at least one fairly heavily Irish American fire "house", or whatever they are called, which suffered high losses at the Twin Towers. I dare say there were a few more. So it would be very surprising if there weren't more than a few IRA donors who were killed in the attack. I like innocent people escaping such carnage.

So, how many IRA supporters would you say were killed in the attack? My guess is, hmm, let's see. 3000 killed. I'd say about 20 or 30. Maybe 50 with luck. Heck, there were probably at least a dozen Osama supporters [excluding those in the aircraft]; Moslems in favour of Osama's Islamic Jihad but who were working there or visiting or something.
